🌿 100 Days of Healing – Day 25
“Your body is your home, your sanctuary. Return to it with tenderness and gratitude, no matter what the day brings.”
Let’s be honest...some days our bodies feel like cozy, well-loved sanctuaries... and other days, they feel like creaky old houses where the floors groan and the plumbing needs a little work.
And yet - this is your one wild, miraculous, living home.
Not a place to fix or flip or constantly redecorate, but a place to return to. To live in. To love, gently. Even when it’s cranky. Especially then.
Your body has carried you through every high, every heartbreak, every awkward phase (hello middle school), and it’s still showing up for you. Breathing. Beating. Shuffling you through mornings you’d rather skip and dancing (or trying to) when the music is just right.
And while the world might want to sell us a hundred ways to “fix” or “optimize” our bodies, here’s your permission slip to opt-out of that noise today. Because your body isn’t a machine. It’s a mystery. A masterpiece. A friend.
Some days, honoring it looks like yoga.
Some days, it looks like a nap and a snack you don’t have to justify.
And some days, it’s just whispering, “I see you. You’re doing great.”
You don’t have to overhaul your life to offer your body kindness. Start small. Rub lotion on your feet. Sit down when you’re tired instead of pushing through. Drink the water you’ve been “meaning to” drink since yesterday. You know the drill.
Your body doesn’t want perfect.
It wants presence.
🌱 Reflection Prompt:
What’s one small way you can return to your body today - with kindness, not critique?
Maybe it’s letting your shoulders drop from your ears.
Maybe it’s dancing badly in the kitchen.
Maybe it’s just sitting still and breathing for one full minute.
Whatever it is - may it be enough.
Because you are enough.
